My heart is breaking. My grey tabby cat Bobby has crossed the rainbow bridge. It all happened on Monday, July 15 around 7:40 am. I remember petting him as I awoke from my slumber. He liked to sleep between my calves making it difficult to turn. He had such a beautiful face that was filled with love. I couldn’t help picking him up and holding him in my arms and kissing him. As I stumbled to the kitchen, I found…..
I’m sitting in the back yard on my cabana. My husband left for a five-day men’s retreat in Vancouver and I was looking for some time alone. So, this is perfect and I get to do what I want when I want! I do miss our morning cuddles and pillow talk about how we slept and sharing our dreams. I also think about what it would be like to be single again. I’m sure I would like parts of it;…..
I had so much fun at a Spiritual Retreat in wine country in the beautiful city of Temecula. There was so much laughter, hugs and love to go around. There is something very powerful about women coming together to share experience, strength and hope with one another through story telling. I was inspired by the courage and strength I witnessed throughout the weekend. The topic for our Saturday meeting was Acceptance. One of my favorite sayings is “God, Grant me the…..
Last weekend was very special! I decided to combine a Women’s Retreat and Romantic Getaway with my husband in Temecula. Thursday night we were off to our quaint, private, Airbnb Casita! We found a wonderful restaurant in Old Town called 1909. Since we weren’t very hungry, we shared a shrimp appetizer and a delicious entrée. We walked a short distance and knew we wanted to come back in the morning to check this cute little town out. A warm 100-degree spa was…..
I had the great privilege of attending the Sat Nam Fest West that was held in Malibu Canyon in April. I loved the setting of being surrounded by abundant beautiful trees, which was a far cry from the dry, dusty desert of Joshua Tree where the Sat Nam Fest was held previously. I felt like I was being held in the womb of the Mother. My husband Gary was able to join me at the fest this year. It…..
When I was 14-years-old, I had a dream that my maternal grandmother died. When I woke up, I headed to our kitchen and found my mother in tears. She told me her mother died last night. I shared my dream and tried to comfort Mom. One year later, I had another dream that my maternal grandfather was getting married. I told my mother about the dream and she scoffed at it until the next week when she found out her…..
I had an amazing 10-day trip to Kono, Hawaii with 12 of us from different states all convening to share this special time at Banyan Tree Sanctuary. My good friend, Shawn Gallaway, was our trip facilitator and Jan Salerno was our dolphin guide. I enjoyed connecting with the awesome people who attended this Dolphin Tune retreat. Our morning started out with a moving chakra meditation followed by a hearty vegetarian breakfast. We all shared our stories as we got to…..
