Tiny Tipsy Cabin – Seattle, WA
I recently returned from a two-week West Coast Book Tour.
I learned so much from this experience and the first lesson was to let go of expectations.
First of all, I was supposed to go on this trip with another friend of mine. Without going into details, she and I parted ways which left me with my strong awareness that this was all happening for a reason …
I needed to Let Go and Let God.
I had the choice to go it alone or ask my friend, Sharyn, to accompany me. Luckily, she said, “Yes!” She was doing a marvelous job with my marketing and she became my trusted companion for this journey.
My second lesson was very important – to trust the process.
This trip turned out to be an amazing learning experience that could only come from experiencing it firsthand.
One of my presentations was at New Renaissance Bookstore in Portland, Oregon. A man shared about his views regarding euthanasia and how he wants that to be his chosen path due to watching both his parents suffer from Alzheimer’s.
What I discovered was that I loved creating an open forum where others could share about their experiences – with near-death; hospice care for a loved one; and messages they might have received from loved ones who crossed over.
The people in the forum did most of the talking which I was grateful for because I had an hour-and-a-half time slot. I would be bored to death if I had to talk about myself and my book for that length of time!
Another crucial lesson I learned was to take care of myself and listen to my inner voice that guides me.
When we were looking at Airbnb’s in Seattle, I kept being drawn to The Tiny Tipsy Cabin. We looked at some less expensive options, but my eyes kept going to that cabin. When we got there, I knew why I was called there …
… Peace & Serenity …
Sitting on that front porch, we had the privilege of looking out into this peaceful forest of trees even though we were two blocks away from Puget Sound. Just peace and serenity surrounded us – what more could we have asked for!
Stay tuned for more of my West Coast Book Tour Adventure! 😊
